![]() This Week #20 (1-18-04) Preventive Care Do you ever go to the dentist? I just had
the opportunity to take one of my grandsons. I hope it is unselfish of me
to say that I am so glad it was him and not me. One thing for sure, it is
not like it used to be. They had given him some medicine (versed) to take
before coming. He was falling around like a kid on drugs and happy as a
lark. When it was over, he said it didn’t hurt, wasn’t too bad, and he
didn’t mind that he has to go back again. That has never
been my experience with a dentist. I did learn a long time ago that if I want
to avoid the “little shop of horrors” it is mandatory that one do some
preventive maintenance. It just pays to brush, floss, rinse with expensive
stuff, and don’t eat anything good or tasty. That leads me to This Week |
’s thought. If we
are going to avoid the “little shop of horrors” that is sin in the life of
the believer, we must practice some preventive maintenance. I know the
best place to get that work done.
